On the 200th Birth Anniversary of two prominent figures of the Bengal Renaissance, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and Akshay Kumar Dutt, the 18th Annual Multipurpose Science Fair was organized by Begampur Science Society. This event celebrated the intellectual and social contributions of these two scholars. Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar was a renowned polymath and social reformer, known for his significant role in the reform of the Bengali alphabet and advocating for women’s education. Akshay Kumar Dutt, on the other hand, was a multifaceted scholar and writer. This science fair paid homage to their legacy, emphasizing the importance of knowledge, education, and the pursuit of science in their honor.
