Begampur Science Society, in association with Dristideep Eye Institute (Dankuni) and with the generous support of Bejnath Chowdhury Charitable Trust, is organizing a Free Eye Check-Up Camp as part of its social welfare initiative. This camp is designed to offer essential eye care services to the local community, with a focus on helping the underprivileged and elderly.

The camp will be held at the Begampur Science Society’s own premises, located on Begampur Station Road, West Bengal. It will take place over two days—Saturday and Sunday, 2nd & 3rd August 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

This free camp will include a wide range of services such as general eye check-ups, cataract screening, and spectacle distribution. Patients diagnosed with cataracts will be eligible for free surgery, subject to confirmation during the examination. Additionally, there will be Diabetic Retinopathy Screening for individuals—especially those aged 40 to 45 and above—to identify and manage diabetic-related eye conditions.

All services provided during this camp will be completely free of cost. The goal is to spread awareness about eye health, encourage early diagnosis of vision problems, and support those in need with proper medical guidance and treatment options.
