I’m thrilled to share my experience with you about the 20th Multipurpose Science Fair organized by the Begampur Science Society during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year was special for two significant reasons – celebrating the birth century of the legendary musician and music artist Salil Chowdhury, and commemorating the 25th death anniversary of the eminent painter Govardhan Ash.
Despite the limitations posed by the pandemic, we adapted and shifted the event to an online platform, bringing together science enthusiasts, artists, and music lovers from across the globe. The virtual format allowed us to connect and engage with a much broader audience, making it a truly international affair.
The fair was a delightful fusion of science, music, and art. We explored Salil Chowdhury’s timeless compositions and the impact of his work on the world of music. The art exhibition in honor of Govardhan Ash showcased his breathtaking paintings, celebrating his legacy as a prominent artist.
The event was filled with informative and exciting presentations, interactive science experiments, mesmerizing music performances, and beautiful art exhibitions. We marveled at the innovative science projects, hummed along to the melodies of Salil Chowdhury, and were transported into the world of art by Govardhan Ash’s captivating creations.
Despite the challenges, the online platform allowed us to reach a wider audience, fostering a sense of global unity during these trying times. The 20th Multipurpose Science Fair was a celebration of culture, creativity, and innovation, and I’m grateful to have been a part of this wonderful event. It reminded us that even in the face of adversity, the human spirit shines through, and our love for science, music, and art knows no bounds.
